31 October 2025
When Digital Marketer Bee first planned the Future of Search workshop series, our goal was to help regional businesses prepare ahead of Google’s expected November release of AI Mode.
But when Google launched AI Mode earlier than anticipated on October 8, 2025, it confirmed exactly what we’d been preparing for: a major shift in how people search, discover, and connect with businesses online.
That’s why each session in the workshop series was specifically tailored to equip business owners, marketers, and decision-makers with practical, actionable steps to stay visible in an AI-powered search landscape.
More importantly, we designed our workshops to make sure regional businesses didn’t get left behind.
The Future of Search Workshops
To help local businesses prepare for this new era of search, we hosted a series of interactive, insight-packed workshops in Wagga Wagga and Albury.
Each session was carefully crafted to help attendees understand the real impact of Google’s AI Mode and what they could do immediately to protect and strengthen their online visibility.
Round 1 — Wagga Wagga Launch
Our very first Future of Search workshop didn’t just kick off the series. It also marked Digital Marketer Bee’s official launch in Wagga Wagga. The event took place on 10 September 2025, at The Ambo Gallery, where local business owners joined us for a deep dive into what Google’s AI-powered search means for regional visibility.
Here’s what attendees experienced:
- A clear explanation of how Google’s AI Mode affects website discovery and rankings.
- A practical look at EEAT signals — Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness.
- Real-world examples of how search results are evolving under AI Mode.
- Networking and open discussions with the DMB team and fellow business owners.
For this event, our objective was to help businesses prepare ahead of the AI Mode rollout and connect with the Wagga community as we expanded our local presence.
Round 2 — Albury Edition
Held just a week after AI Mode’s rollout in Australia, the second workshop shifted gears from preparation to adaptation. On 15 October 2025, business owners gathered at SS&A Club Albury for an event we organised in partnership with Albury Business Connect for NSW Small Business Month.
Key moments from the session included:
- A breakdown of how AI Mode impacts visibility, clicks, and user behaviour.
- Live comparisons between AI-generated and traditional search results.
- An introduction to DMB’s “Search Everywhere Optimisation” framework.
- Free AI-Ready Visibility Reviews offered to all participants.
Through our second workshop, we were able to help Albury-Wodonga businesses make data-driven adjustments in real time, turning AI Mode from a challenge into an opportunity for online growth.

Round 3 — Wagga Return Session
To wrap up the series, we returned to Wagga Wagga on 22 October 2025 for a follow-up session at The Ambo Gallery. This session offered a closer look at real Australian search results just weeks after AI Mode’s debut, giving attendees a clearer picture of what had changed and why it mattered.
Participants gained insights from:
- Live demonstrations comparing pre- and post-AI Mode search experiences.
- Case studies from regional businesses already adapting their online strategies.
- Opportunities to book AI-Ready Visibility Reviews and Client Acquisition Blueprints for tailored next steps.
Our goal for this workshop was to support businesses in refining and future-proofing their digital strategies based on early AI Mode performance and results.
Key Takeaways from Our Workshops
Across all three workshops, our message was clear: the future of search is already here, and visibility now depends on credibility.
Through these sessions, we shared key insights aimed at helping regional businesses adapt to the impact of AI mode. Some of these include:
- AI Mode is Here: Google’s AI-powered answers went live on 8 October, changing how users interact with search.
- Visibility = Credibility: Online visibility is no longer just about keywords. To maintain and boost your digital presence, you need trust signals, expertise, and genuine brand authority.
- EEAT Matters More Than Ever: Google now rewards content that demonstrates real experience, expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness.
- User-First Design Wins: Fast, reliable websites with authentic reviews perform best in AI-generated answers.
- Regional Advantage is Key: Businesses in regional Australia can move faster and implement smarter, thanks to tighter communities and agile operations.
Digital Marketer Bee’s Commitment to Future-Proofing Businesses
Across three successful sessions in Albury and Wagga Wagga, the Future of Search workshop series served as a regional movement toward digital readiness.
Our dedication to online growth helps us remain committed to helping local and regional businesses stay visible, competitive, and future-proof in the AI-driven web. Through our ongoing AI-Ready Visibility Reviews and tailored digital strategies, we’re continuing to support business leaders who want to stay discoverable in a changing search landscape.
